For the fourth consecutive day, Argenis Contreras is being questioned at the Attorney General’s (PGR) office for the murder of professor and lawyer Yuniol Ramírez in 2017.
Argenis, identified by the Attorney General as responsible for killing the professor, was brought to the country on Tuesday and immediately brought before the prosecution for clarification on the matter.
As always, and since his arrival in the country, Argenis Contreras was guarded by a group of soldiers. He himself has not answered any of the questions asked by journalists following up on this case.
On Friday, the interim judge of the Fourth Investigative Judge, Kenya Romero, imposed a year of protective custody on him.
His lawyer Plutarco Jáquez said he hopes the prosecution will finalize the questions this Friday, as his client has always been willing to cooperate with the authorities.
“We have now come to close these interviews so that the prosecution can conduct its investigation, and if they understand that new people need to come in, the ball will be in the hands of the prosecution,” he said. to journalists.
