The season of those chosen from Destiny 2 has been revealed and with it comes another seasonal roadmap that extends from next Tuesday until mid-May, the usual three months. I thought you might want a more permanent place to refer to the roadmap than a tweet, hence this article, but you can view it in a larger form here because I doubt you can see everything so good.
I also wanted to talk a little bit about what was on the roadmap and about any surprises or non-surprises we might encounter. Here are the main things that stand out to me after I went through it:
– The main feature of the season are the new Battlegrounds events, which, if I had to guess, being an activity performed on three men, can be something we see on the same scale as Forges. As far as we can tell, there are four in total and they are on Nessus, the Cosmodrome, the moon and … I’m not sure about the last one (Update: Europe, judging by the trailer). Unlike Forges, they can use existing map areas, I’m not sure yet.
– The two repeated strikes of Destiny 1, Fallen SABER and Devil’s Lair are released as soon as the season is live, although we still don’t know if they are integrated into the story in a way like The Disgraced in Beyond Light or if they were rewritten at all or will simply present original dialogue and final bosses.
– The new HELM location was something mysterious for the fans, because it seems to be its own separate space, not in the current Tower. There are some theories that it is an area rebuilt in the old tower, although not necessarily that the whole old tower comes back to life. HELM looks like it will be our article “invest currencies in updating the X thing for more bonuses” this season, from its sound.

– One thing is no more reached in this roadmap and nowhere else is the arrival of the new Stasis Aspect missions. We don’t know how many (at least one per class, I think) and what form they will take (more checklists than last time or a real mission?). I am sure that any effects they will have will be undisputed and will not affect PvP at all. I hope that this continues the Clovis / Elsie story of Europe, so that we do not completely abandon that location.
– Trials starts right away with its new set of armor, probably the most handsome I’ve seen this season, and the new trailer featured a new Trials handgun coming in the mode. From what we can tell, the new Prey Trials and new playlists seem to be the only thing that has been added / focused on PvP this season.
– Only more than a month after the launch we get the new effective strike for the season, Proving Grounds, which takes place on a moving tank, and I assume that the delay is due to the fact that it will have a kind of seasonal story component. in it, which could not take place even at the launch of the season. Strangely, Bungie does one thing where season ticket holders go on strike a week before F2P players. I mean, okay?

– Finally, we make Guardian Games as the end of the season and, while some people say that the armor reminds them of SRL, I don’t buy it. This time there is a “closing ceremony”, although I’m not sure what it will be, although I’ve heard some theorizing about the reopening of the old Tower. My only theory is that Heir Apparent will return and this time will receive a catalyst.
What the is not This way? A mysterious search for a Tex Mechanica weapon that some people think is the first curse, but it could be completely new. And, of course, Bungie can hide other secrets that are not listed anywhere.
Many of these will depend on the quality of the prey and the seasonal activity, but I am encouraged by what I have seen so far, so I will definitely give the season a try. Stay tuned for more information.
