The SoulCycle instructor who cut the vaccine line has the “God’s complex”: source

Stacey Griffith – the famous SoulCycle instructor who cut the line of a COVID vaccine claiming to be “educating” – could have apologized for her actions, but a former employee tells us that her behavior is not surprising.

“It’s completely in line with Stacey’s character. It operates entirely from a narcissistic point of view “, said the former staff. “It has a huge complex of God.”

On Friday, Griffith – whose devotees are Madonna and Kelly Ripa – posted on Instagram about vaccination at a high school in Staten Island and told the Daily Beast that she qualified because she is a “health educator.” (School teachers are eligible in New York.)

“In my health and wellness profession as a teacher, it is my daily priority to keep my community and respiratory systems running at full capacity so that they can beat this virus if they are infected by it,” she said. “I can only teach them if I’m healthy.”

Until Monday, she apologized, saying she “made a terrible mistake in court.”

SoulCycle seemed to distance itself from this move, telling Page Six in a comment Tuesday that Griffith “worked personally in applying a COVID-19 vaccine in the state of NY. SoulCycle does not play any role in organizing or obtaining vaccinations for instructors or other employees, nor do we encourage any of them. [our] employees should seek vaccine priority as educators. ”

The former staff member snorted, “they like to ignore the unpleasant behavior of instructors … It’s a t-bull culture.”

Either way, the controversy is just the latest to hit the high-end fitness brand. Top instructors have been accused of making racist and homophobic comments at work, of having sex with clients and embarrassing co-workers.

SoulCycle previously commented on those incidents that “its core values” are “diversity, inclusion, acceptance and love. When we receive complaints or accusations about behavior in our community that does not align with our values, we take them very seriously and investigate and address them. ”
