Last week, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed an executive order to hopefully step up the state’s vaccination efforts and make more vaccines available. However, the problem was the number of vaccines the state could receive.
To date, according to ADHS, more than 702,000 doses of vaccine have been administered to more than 579,000 Arizonans, of whom 109,000 have received both doses.

“We know the vaccine is in high demand and we expect appointments to fill up quickly,” said ADHS Director Dr. Cara Christ. “Building on the success of the State Farm Stadium site, we are able to quickly replicate these sites to add capacity when we receive the vaccine. Our only limiting factor is the amount of vaccine we receive from our federal partners. ”
TOMORROW: @AZDHS opens registration for another 21,000 # COVID-19 vaccination schedules. Arizona has acted quickly to ensure that these doses of the vaccine reach the Arizonans urgently, rather than sitting in a freezer. 1 /
