When he participated in the El Despertador de Noticias SIN program, the carrier denounced that this “octopus” buys the fuel as it “wants”, imports it, pays for the goods, transports the trucks and is also the retailer, which Hubieres defined as ” an almost absolute monopoly “.
Hubieres said that in the Dominican Republic there is a chain in marketing margins that does not exist in any other country in Latin America.
He added that each citizen pays RD $ 4 for every gallon of fuel he consumes, intended for the administration of the law, calculating that the country consumes almost 2 billion gallons.
