MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma. (AP) – Six people were murdered in Oklahoma early Tuesday, including five children, and a person with a gun was taken into custody, police said.
Officers responded to a call from several people who had been shot at a house in Muskogee, about 45 miles southeast of Tulsa, around 1:30 a.m., police said in a press release.
There, officers ran into a person with a gun who was later taken into custody. Officers at the scene found a man and four children dead, and a fifth child died in a hospital in Tulsa, police said.
A woman was also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities have not released the name of the arrested person or details of the people who died. Police would release more information later Tuesday.
