Apple is extracting version 12 of iCloud for Windows, which supports the Chrome iCloud Password extension

Apple has released version 12 of iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft Store, based on user reports. The update included support for the Chrome extension ChromeiCloudwords Passwords released on Monday.

As mentioned by 8-Bit, ‌iCloud‌ version currently on the Microsoft App Store is 11.6.32.0, which is a downgrade from version 12 that was available yesterday. However, the description of the ‌iCloud‌ application still mentions support for the ‌iCloud‌ Password extension.

It’s not known why Apple released the latest version, but it may be due to issues that many users have encountered with the Chrome extension, including issues with two-factor authentication when trying to access websites and browser extensions. it doesn’t work at all.

Apple has released the iCloud password extension for the Google Chrome browser on Windows 10 to allow users to access Chrome passwords that have been generated in Apple’s Safari browser. It also allows ‌‌iCloud‌‌ sync of passwords generated in Chrome, making them available on Apple devices.
