Devin Booker knew he had hit a three-point jumper as soon as the ball left his right hand outstretched on Monday night.

Booker, who finished the night with 24 points in his first game back after missing four games since injury, would prove correct in his assessment.

That jump gave the Suns a 109-108 lead over their hometown Dallas Mavericks, 1.5 seconds behind regulation.

Booker’s shot would be the winning basket of the game, as the Suns would continue to win their second victory in three days over the Mavericks with that score.

The winning shooting guard jumper completed a shooting performance up and down, 9 for 19, which helped the Suns come back during the final quarter of the game.

Booker finished Monday’s contest with four triples in eight tries, joining teammate Chris Paul in hitting a quartet from behind the winning arc.

The heroism at the end of Booker’s game helped the Suns improve their record for the year 11-8, completing a series of three games of the two teams for the season.

It all came to a dramatic conclusion in an unbalanced shot that just wiped out the outstretched arms of Mavericks goalkeeper Josh Richardson.

It was a blow that only hit the net, giving Suns fans a reason to celebrate Monday night.
