The new bridge between SDE and the national district will cost 49 million US dollars

The Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención, announced that the construction of a new drawbridge between Santo Domingo Este and the national district will have an investment of 49 million US dollars.

The ministry reported that RD $ 78 million will be invested in the design of the bridge over the Ozama River, which will link Manuela Diez streets to Puerto Rico this year.

The new bridge is expected to replace the floating barge operating on the Ozama River.

Ascención said they have a plan to invest in works for the benefit of the municipality of Santo Domingo It is worth $ 4,854 million pesos, from an overall budget of over $ 14 billion RD provided in the funds for public works.

“Among the main works to be built is the completion of Hipica Boulevard, in which RD 1,248 million USD will be invested, out of a budgeted amount of 3,120 million RD; the extension of the Ecological Boulevard, with an investment of 1,123.2 million RD, out of a budgeted amount of 2,808 million RD ”, he indicated.

He also announced the construction of the third section of the Santo Domingo belt, in which 522,951.3 million US dollars will be invested, out of a budgeted amount of 25,954,927,757.62 US dollars.

Ascención also said that this year the highway to San Isidro will be extended, with an investment of RD $ 270.4 million; Construction of the new Santo Domingo Este court will continue, and the investment will be US $ 329,898,945.00.

Also, four comprehensive care centers for children with disabilities (CAID) will be built, for an amount of RD 270,402,509.00 USD; $ 250 million will be allocated to improve road infrastructure in the province of Santo Domingo.
