Police are looking for the perpetrators of a shooting that left three injured, one seriously, on a high street in Miami Beach on Sunday night, where pedestrians and eaters from nearby restaurants had to seek shelter to escape the bullets.
The perpetrators of the shooting are three African American men who fled the scene in a dark-colored van, possibly a Jaguar, said Miami-Dade Police spokesman Ernesto Rodríguez.
The television channels this Monday published images taken by the security cameras of the companies on Washington Avenue where the audience on a restaurant terrace is seen throwing themselves to the ground and trying to escape when the first shots of a batch of about 20 start to be heard.
Three people were shot in the street, one of the most touristic in the area, and taken to hospitals. One of them is in critical condition, according to the police.
According to a message posted on Twitter by the Miami Beach Police Department, At least two types of bullet casings have been found on site, indicating that a shot change may have occurred.
Rodríguez said police are questioning witnesses to the shooting and analyzing footage from security cameras and license plate readers of cars in the area to clarify what happened and find the perpetrators of the shots.
