Delivery of food, medical supplies or fuel
Media news
Hotel workers
Shelter workers and homeless care
Utility workers performing emergency repairs
People employed in pharmacies, grocery stores (including all food and beverage stores), shops, wineries, gas stations, laundries, hotels, restaurants / bars and hardware
People seeking medical treatment or medical supplies
Hired vehicles, used for the transport of persons employed to perform any of these services to and from their places of work
The mayor warned New Yorkers to refrain from traveling as the storm intensified.
715 salt spreaders, 2000 plows are ready for road cleaning, with an additional 120 plows to join the fleet from other city agencies.
As of Saturday, more than 500 miles of road have been salted and pre-treated by the city’s sanitation.
All New York students will move to distance learning on Monday because of the winter storm. As for Tuesday, de Blasio says no decision has been made yet.
Food distribution will be canceled at schools, as well as the learning childcare program for Monday.
All Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of New York will be closed on Monday, February 1, due to a major snowstorm. Monday will be a “traditional snow day” without remote instructions. All Catholic schools have snow days built into their calendars, with unforeseen situations to make up for training time.
Archbishop’s high schools operate independently, so high school families must follow the instructions in their individual schools.
Schedules for the COVID vaccine on Monday will be rescheduled due to the impending snowstorm.
