NEW YORK, USA..- The drug dealer Fabio Lobo requested one compassionate redemption to the US Justice Department for fear of capture COVID-19.
A document submitted by Lobo to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, points out that the Honduran is trying to get out of prison because of health problems and because he is vulnerable to Covid-19.
Lobo is aware that a court cannot change a prison sentence once it has been imposed. But he states that this rule is subject to certain exceptions.

This is the arrangement of compassionate redemption, allowing prisoners to request a change of sentence directly from the court through the Bureau of Prisons.
Lobo is currently 50 years old and says he suffers from hypertension, respiratory infections and kidney problems, causing an increased risk of infection.
Lobo says in his letter that he will be immediately deported to Honduras, where he will live with his sister.
The record of punishment and incarceration from Fabio Lobo suggests that he is repentant and rehabilitated, and that he spent several hours in prison in education and vocational training.

On September 15, 2016, the court sentenced the son former president Lobo Sosa to a fine of 24 years in prison, after Lobo pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States.
The Honduran is confined to Sumterville, Florida prison, which currently has 15 inmates and 13 workers, infected with the new coronavirus.
To date, Lobo has served 72 months in prison and will serve his full sentence on November 1, 2035.
