Agents from the Fajardo Maritime Division seized a shipment of 239 blocks of cocaine yesterday and intervened with four crew members in the middle of a maritime patrol at 10:30 at night on the north coast of Loíza.
The estimated value of the drug found is approximately $ 7,409,000.00.
As reported in the preliminary police report, authorities intervened with a boat with its navigation lights off and, at the stop warning, its crew members fled along the banks of the Grande de Loíza River.
There were four crew members on board, three of whom were rescued by the US Coast Guard and one by Fajardo Maritime Division personnel. They were carrying ten packages of 239 blocks of cocaine.
