Hitman 3 DLC is coming, but IO Interactive hasn’t defined what it is yet

Over the past half decade, Hitman World of Assassination’s excellent trilogy has been one of the best-supported series in the industry. Whether it’s large-scale expansions, special tasks, time-limited targets, or additional climbs and challenge packages, the game has grown immensely.

However, the Danish developer IO Interactive was surprisingly calm about its post-launch plans for Hitman 3 and we started to think it might not have. That’s not the case, thankfully – he just hasn’t decided what he’ll look like yet. Speaking as part of an interview with The Gamer, executive producer Forest Swartout Large said the team “works continuously at Hitman.”

“We’ll definitely do some DLC, but we haven’t defined what that is,” he said. “I don’t think we’re looking at new maps like Bank and Haven Island yet. We look more at using existing locations and reinventing them, twisting them. And this time, we can use the whole trilogy. We can look back at the 2016 Hitman maps, the Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations. ”

IO Interactive has in the past created missions that use the same general areas, but that change the time of day and your goals. He also completely reinvented certain scenes, such as the movie Sapienza or the Halloween Climbing in Hawke’s Bay. We would definitely like to see more things like this and we think it would be fun to constantly bring back all the evasive targets.

What kind of post-release content would you like to see in Hitman 3? As Large says, the developer could do quite a lot, so while we appreciate focusing primarily on Project 007 right now, we hope it will add to the already huge World of Assassination trilogy for a while longer.
