How Jimmy Woo’s Manhunt set up the return of a shocking avenger

The last episode of WandaVision explored the major ramifications that Avengers: Endgame he had in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he may have teased the imminent debut of some surprising members of Earth’s most powerful heroes. Based on the introduction Ant-Man and the Wasp star Randall Park in his role as Jimmy Foo from the FBI, we could see some familiar faces making a shocking appearance in the Disney + series. But which of the Avengers members makes the most sense to appear at Marvel Studios WandaVision, and why does it make sense to appear?

In the most recent episode of WandaVisionFBI Agent Jimmy Woo enlists the help of SWORD, in the form of Monica Rambeau, to help understand the strange anomaly centered around the city of Westview. While no one nearby remembers the city or its inhabitants, Woo followed an informant who apparently disappeared within the city limits.

What if that informant was Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye or Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man? They are both members of the Avengers’ anti-registration crew in Captain America civil warThey both received house arrest to return to their families as punishment for their crimes.

Until the Avengers: Endgame, we realize that those sentences were probably switched due to the crazy circumstances surrounding “The Blip”, in which Thanos took half the population out of existence. And now that everyone’s back, it’s unlikely that the FBI has stopped keeping those two vigilantes under control, even if they’ve served their sentences. Especially in the case of Scott Lang, who was not under house arrest until the end of the year Ant-Man and the Wasp but it was still interesting for Woo’s investigations.

Maybe one of them flew in the coop, and in the context of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hawkeye makes the most sense. Clint Barton built a strong brother-like relationship with Wanda Maximoff following her brother’s death in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Into the Civil war and in End game, the two proved to be a strong bond due to their history.

Could Renner make a surprise appearance as a brainwashed resident of Westview? Or will we get the last shock with Rudd appearing as Scott Lang in one of the final episodes? Either way, don’t be surprised when a member of the Avengers appears in one of the remaining episodes of WandaVision, aired Friday on Disney +.
