Restaurant workers and retailers share the best and most pleasant revenge they have had on rude customers, from dusting to changing their espresso for decaffeination.

TikTok user Darron Cardosa asked the question this weekend, asking other users, “What did you do to a customer after they were rude to you?”

Dozens responded, revealing the petty and ridiculous ways in which they bothered minor customers who could have been more police officers.

While some stories reveal crimes that can be set on fire, others could never be reasonably blamed on the employee.

Darron, for example, has never done anything technically wrong – he has gone a little out of his way to make his customer experience a little more enjoyable than it could have been.

“As a server, sometimes when rude customers ask for butter, I give them cold butter, even if I have butter at room temperature, because I know that cold butter will break their bread,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, Ebony Mallinson confessed: “I mix them in the form of smoothies, so that the pieces block their straw.”

McKenzie Morrison had an equally petty tactic that customers may not have even noticed – but at least it made McKenzie feel better.

“As a delicatessen, when a customer is Karen, I’ll gather the cheese together after I slice it, so it’s impossible to separate it later,” she said.

A TikToker named Sammie not only took revenge for his rudeness, but held a police officer accountable.

“A policeman entered my store without a mask in his uniform,” she said. “I said, ‘Sir, the next time you come in, I need you to put on a mask. “He looked me in the eye and said, ‘I have a medical condition. What are you going to do about it? ”

Some of the behaviors, however, would probably have put employees in a bit of trouble if their bosses had found out about them.

Stephanie Crnkovich said that when she worked as a barista, she would offer rude customers a decaffeinated espresso instead of the usual one.

Geza Daniel Molnar said that while working at a hotel, he met guests who arrived late, who did not kick him when he helped with their luggage.

“So I called them at midnight,” he said.

User Chelsea Dickinson poured out his diabolical trick, revealing: “I used to charge them double, so they had to wait in the customer service line to receive a refund.”
