LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Lake Square Mall and an Amazon Distribution storage park will host the latest coronavirus vaccination sites in Lake Lake County, the agency said Tuesday.
The new mall will be operated by DOH in partnership with Lake County Emergency Management and will provide photos to frontline health workers and Florida residents age 65 and older.

To make an appointment, eligible individuals can call 866-201-6909 or 833-476-1031 for the hearing impaired. The Lake County Board of Commissioners said Tuesday that the county is now participating in the state-administered vaccine naming system using that number.
Appointments begin at the new site in the old Sears store on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Only for the first week, the first doses will be offered at the access site.
“We want to remind the public that our immunization plan is long-term,” the DOH said in a press release. “People who cannot get a vaccine in this first phase will have the opportunity as we continue and expand our efforts.”
People must be able to show residence in Florida by identifying or bringing two other items, including housing documents or an invoice, that show that you live in Florida for more than 30 days a year.
On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Health in Lake County began administering the second dose of the Modern vaccine to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Mount Dora. This site does not offer the first doses, but only a reminder for people who received their first Modern vaccine at a vaccination site in Lake County.
Later that day, the county DOH announced that a second dose would be given to those in need of a Pfizer shot on an Amazon distribution site in Groveland. The site will also offer the first doses in the morning, but afternoon seats will be reserved for those who need a booster.
“Drive and park for a vaccination, the afternoon space is only for the second dose,” according to a press release.
Once the car park reaches capacity, the line will approach new traffic.
The Groveland site opens Wednesday at 8 a.m. at 7453 Republic Drive.
People who had the first shot in Lake County, both Pfizer and Moderna, will be contacted by the department for an appointment for the second shot.
According to the DOH vaccine report, Lake County has administered more than 32,000 first doses of the vaccine since Monday. More than 2,300 people in the county have completed their inoculation with a booster, according to the report.
