The JCE will know the order of the election

The plenary session of the Central Electoral Council (JCE) will meet on Wednesday at 10:00, with one item on the agenda, to know the opinions and oppositions of the different political parties to decide what will be the order of the ballot and how in which the economic resources allocated by the state will be distributed.

In a press release, the JCE reminded the political parties, organizations and recognized movements that at 2:00 this afternoon the deadline granted by this institution for issuing their opinions, observations or opposition expires, on the order that they will occupy in the ballots for the next elections in 2024. Weeks ago, the plenary session had arranged in its regular administrative session on Wednesday, January 6, to ask the parties for their opinions on this issue and gave it a deadline of January 15 to issue them.

One of the parties that could be most affected or benefited by the decision that the JCE can take is the People’s Force, which, through its alternative political delegate, Javier Hubiera, limited himself to saying that “the numerical order of the voting parties must or the same criteria used for the distribution of the state’s economic resources.

Regarding the distribution of economic resources, he expressed the fact that the People’s Force sees the proposal made by the Permanent Forum of Political Parties in the Dominican Republic as “feasible”.
