The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will provide an update on Tuesday on the state’s supply of COVID-19 vaccine.
No ad specific time has been set.
The update will appear as eligible groups that have not received the first dose express their frustrations and as clinics struggle to meet the requirements.

On Monday, the Orange County Health Department said its clinic had run out of first doses and it is unclear when they will receive more from the state. Orange County sent a notice saying that until the supply increases significantly, it could be weeks or even months before everyone in phases 1 and 2 is vaccinated.

In Cumberland County and Lee County, clinics are open primarily to those receiving the second dose of vaccine.
Other counties, including Wake, have received fewer vaccines than expected this week and, as a result, are slowing down their vaccination process for appointment only.
In Durham, county leaders are preparing to add a new mass vaccination site to the distribution process, which would have the capacity to vaccinate about 45,000 people a week.
Mass vaccination sites have already been set up in other parts of the state, including Charlotte and Greenville.
