Passengers prefer measures
Regarding the entry into force of the new restrictive measures to combat the coronavirus and its new strains, some passengers who consulted in the AILA prior to their departure to the United States were in favor of their application and said the announcement of the new measures.
Passenger Ignacio Martínez, a Santo Domingo resident who was traveling on a JetBue Airways flight to New York, explained that these measures should be supported as they favor travelers and prevent them from becoming infected with the virus.
“We are seeing these measures well and hopefully they will help alleviate and improve this pandemic situation,” emphasized Martinez.
While Clarisa Sánchez, a Dominican in New Jersey, the United States affirmed that the sanitary measures announced by the new President of the United States, Joe Biden, are good and should be supported.
“What I am asking of God is that this pandemic should go away, because it has caused a lot of damage in all countries of the world,” said the lady a little sadly.
“It would be good for the government to start vaccinating here too and take tougher, more energetic measures to stop the progression of this pandemic,” he said.

“The important thing now is that everyone in the United States and here in the country gets the vaccine against the virus so as not to have the fear and uncertainty that we will get infected. One person takes to the streets and does not know if someone else is going to infect you, because the worst thing about this pandemic is that there are asymptomatic people who have no symptoms of the virus, but are carriers, ”he said.
