Santo Domingo, RD.
The former Dominican Ambassador to the United States, and former National District Senator José Tomas Pérez, petitioned the Constitutional Court, which has now been extended with four new judges, of course under the “ preclearance ” agreement between the United States and the Dominican Republic.
Pérez said this case was brought by some “ultra-nationalist” judges who saw aggression against Dominican sovereignty “even in the soup.”
“Let’s hope the TC, now renewed, will finally implement the” Preclearance “agreement between the US and the DR filed by some ultra-nationalist judges who even saw aggression against national sovereignty in the soup,” Pérez wrote this morning. in his account the social network Twitter.
According to the diplomat’s past, that agreement included immigration and customs inspections by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency at a foreign airport before boarding a flight to the United States.
He described it as “a great opportunity for the growth of tourism in the Dominican Republic”.
Attention Chancellery! Let’s hope the TC, now renewed, will finally give way to the US-DR “preclearance” deal filed by some ultra-nationalist judges who even saw aggression against national sovereignty in the soup.
