The pope will miss three future events due to sciatica

The Vatican announced on Saturday the change of the Pope’s plans, Reuters reported. He will miss one event on January 24 and two events on January 25.

He was scheduled to attend two religious ceremonies, leading a Sunday Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and attending a vespers service at a church in Rome on Monday. He should also speak on Monday at an annual address to a diplomatic corps. It will be postponed to a later date, according to the wire service.

The pope has suffered from sciatica for some time, but has not missed many events due to the condition, which affects the sciatic nerve and causes pain in the lower back and leg.

P, 84 years oldope also missed a religious service during the New Year holiday because of the pain caused by the condition.

Francis participates in physical therapy for his condition, which makes him have trouble walking sometimes, according to Reuters.

Pope Francis sent one message to President Biden on his inauguration day, saying he would pray for Biden and for God to help heal the divisions in America.
