María del Carmen Santana Fernández de Cabrera, is a lawyer born in Mao, Valverde, on January 2, 1966. She graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher (PUCMM) in 1990.
His studies also include a postgraduate degree in labor and social security law and a master’s degree in constitutional law and civil liberties.
She was appointed judge of the second criminal chamber of the Santiago Court of Appeal, on October 3, 2016.
She is married to Mr. Wilfredo Cabrera López, with whom she had two daughters, Mariela and Marimar Cabrera Santana.
Santana Fernández was selected today as a judge of the Constitutional Court, along with three other judges, after being evaluated by the National Council of Magistracy.
