The game of the millennium may come on the Nintendo Switch

The South Korean scoreboard lists the SNK and Capcom crossover

An interesting evaluation of the game seems to have appeared on the South Korean scoreboard (GRAC), which can tell about a classic crossover heading towards the Nintendo Switch.

An evaluation for “Ultimate Fighters SNK VS. CAPCOM (NS) ”was observed on the website of the Gaming Evaluation and Registration Committee and appears to have been registered earlier this month. As NintendoLife reports, the title appears to be SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium and seems to be heading for the Nintendo handheld console / hybrid.

SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium was originally released in late 1999 on the portable NeoGeo Pocket Color system. Players could choose from 26 different fighters, including representatives of both Capcom IPs and, of course, SNK.

This crossover allowed 1v1 solo fights, two-person labels or three-character teams (similar to King of Fighters). The images opted more for a chibi style, with characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li and Terry appearing similar to the spirits found in other NeoGeo Pocket Color titles.

The GRAC assessment specifies that this game is a “Nintendo Switch fighting game with SNK and CAPCOM characters” (according to Google Translate). SNK vs. Capcom prides itself on a “Everyone ages 12 and up” rating, with the reason for its rating being “minor violent expression”.

Once this list appears on the South Korean scoreboard, it is likely that the title will soon appear on the platform in that region. Although there is no confirmation that SNK vs. Capcom on Switch will be released in North America, this activity serves as an indicator that a possible launch could take place in the state.

Several NeoGeo Pocket Color games have found a home on the Nintendo Switch lately, as in April 2020 we saw SNK Gals’ Fighters released on the console as part of the NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection library. In August 2020, The King of Fighters R-2 and Samurai Shodown! 2 books were added to the library, each title being available digitally for $ 7.99.

Given that several of the handheld games have seen the release of the Nintendo Switch in the last year or so, it’s certainly plausible that SNK vs.

SNK has actively unveiled content here in 2021 as King of Fighters 15 has been officially unveiled to the world and has seen consistent trailers every week for the past three weeks. It is possible that an official announcement for SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium to be released alongside one of the upcoming showcases.
