The county extends COVID-19 vaccinations to 65 years and over News

San Diego County has today expanded the category of those eligible to include those over 65 years of age.

“As I indicated a few weeks ago, the county anticipated the extension of eligibility to people aged 65 and over in the week of January 25, as part of its continued focus on those most at risk,” said Wilma J. Wooten MD, MPH, County Public Health Officer. “With a number of health care providers now vaccinating in the age group and UC San Diego Health Super Station has a surplus of appointments, the decision was made this afternoon. Appointments are still needed and vaccinations are available depending on the supply. ”
