A few days ago it was confirmed that the actor from Saved by the bell, Dustin Diamond, was diagnosed with terminal cancer after being hospitalized in an emergency. Now, the representative Diamond reported that Screech’s interpreter began chemotherapy.
Diamond, known for his role as Screech in the original comedy series of the ’90s, was hospitalized earlier this month in Florida. After the tests they performed, Dustin was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
“Dustin has completed his first round of chemistry and is scheduling a second. Physiotherapy will start soon, “said the actor’s spokesman, Roger Paul, in a statement.
“Dustin is looking forward to spending more time with his girlfriend, playing bass, playing video games and making videos for his fans on social media,” he added.
Saved by the bell aired between 1989 and 1993 and gave rise to the spinoff series The College Years and The New Class, in which Diamond appeared.
A sequel was released last year with many of the actors from the original cast., such as Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, but not Diamond.
