James Heerdegen denied the restraining order against Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci’s estranged husband sought – and was denied – a restraining order against the actress this week accusing her of excessive alcohol and domestic violence.

Heerdegen’s request for a restraining order came a few days after Ricci, 40, applied for a restraining order against him, according to court documents obtained on Friday Six Page. Her order was granted.

In addition to Heerdegen’s request to reject a temporary restraining order, the judge also rejected his request to change custody of their son and his request to change visitation rights, according to court documents obtained on page Six.

In her order, according to the Daily Mail, Heerdegen claimed that she would get into drunken hands in front of him and their son Freddie. He claimed he had no idea what happened when he finally stopped and that he had to check Freddie’s bottles at some point while breastfeeding.

“This filing is nothing more than an abusive transparent attempt to silence my client,” Ricci’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, told us in a statement. “It won’t work. Christina won’t be intimidated by Mr Heerdegen and his rain of misleading claims – and she remains determined to protect her family.”

Ricci and Heerdegen tied the knot in 2013 and met their son, Freddie, in 2014. The actress filed for divorce in July 2020 following an alleged internal battery incident.

Ricci filed for primary legal and physical custody of 6-year-old Freddie as part of the divorce. She also asked the court not to allow Heerdegen’s visitation rights.

In her own documents filed Friday in opposition to her request, Ricci told the court she believed Heerdegen had retaliated against the order. her order, filed earlier in the week and that it was not necessary. At the time, she offered the court photos of the injuries she had suffered from Heerdegen’s abuse, some of which she claimed took place in front of their son.

She also included an audio clip from June 25, 2020, about an alleged incident between the two where, according to court documents, “James can be heard terrorizing Christina, spitting and screaming at her, acknowledging violence, watching- one from room to room, watching her and then violently attacking her before the recording ended abruptly, complaining that she was calling the police. Shockingly, this recording also surprises Christina who tries to introduce the minor child – who is present – away from the climbing scene. ”

“It is anticipated that James will accuse Christina of physically abusing her for the defensive actions she took to evade his attacks on her,” the document read. “He can also try to portray Christina by acknowledging responsibility for their struggles with others. The above is to be expected in cases where serious domestic violence is uncontrolled in a household … however, there is no doubt in this case that James is the main perpetrator and perpetrator of domestic violence who must be held responsible for the behavior its ugly. ”

Heerdegen denied Ricci’s allegations of abuse to TMZ earlier this week.
