TAMPA, Florida – A new COVID-19 vaccination site opens Thursday at the University Mall in Tampa.
Seniors aged 65 and over and health workers are eligible to receive the vaccine at the new state site.
Everything is part of the state’s “Seniors First” initiative. Priority is given to vaccinating older people and the more locations where the vaccine is offered, the more older people will receive it.
This site will provide 1600 doses of Pfizer vaccine each day.
Two doses are needed, so everyone who is vaccinated will have to return in three weeks for the second dose.
The site is open from 8:00 to 16:00, seven days a week. You must register in advance and schedule an appointment to receive a vaccine.
To schedule an appointment, call 1-866-200-3896.
