The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will be present at noon at the session of the National Council of Magistracy (CNM), which takes place today in the National Palace.
The president will take advantage of the recess of interviews of applicants to fill vacancies in the Constitutional Court to move to the Foreign Ministry headquarters, where he will have lunch with several ambassadors and Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez, with whom he will discuss the recent Haitian issue joint statement with President Jovenel Moïse.
The third and final session of the CNM will be chaired by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña.
It is the second time in the entire interview process that President Abinader will be absent from the trial, the first took place on Thursday, when he also left at noon to inaugurate a business project in the eastern region.
