The Canadian TV reporter harassed during the filming segment

Canadian police are investigating after a TV reporter was harassed by a man who threw a vulgar comment at him while filming a segment.

Krista Sharpe, a reporter for Canadian broadcaster CTV, was filming in Kitchener, Ontario, when a driver shouted “fk her in the py” at the car window before speeding away.

The journalist shared the footage on Monday on Twitter, written: “This isn’t funny and it’s not great.”

“As much as I would like to say that I don’t mind, yes. It makes me feel like I am, ”she wrote.

Sharpe said the harassment was particularly worrying because she often works alone, adding, “This is still happening to reporters everywhere and needs to stop.”

Waterloo regional police responded to Sharpe’s tweet, saying officers would examine the issue.

“We are sorry to see this @KristajSharpe. It is completely unacceptable, “the department wrote.

Waterloo Regional Police Chief Bryan Larkin said the footage, which has been shared thousands of times, could be presented as evidence, the CBC reported.

“This incident is unacceptable, vulgar and offensive. No one should be subjected to hatred and aggression in the workplace. ” Larkin wrote on Twitter.
