If you plan to travel to the United States on or after January 26, you must have a negative Covid-19 test.
Commissioned by that country’s Centers for Disease Prevention Control (CDC, for its English abbreviation), this test should be a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or rapid antigen test.
Either options It must be dated no more than 3 days before travel and must be provided in printed or electronic form.
Documentation of the test result should include information identifying the person, the date the sample was taken and the type of test.
The new requirement applies to all passengers from 2 years old, including citizens and legal residents of the United States.
The airlines will check that passengers are wearing their negative Covid-19 test and in the event that someone doesn’t show it, they will not authorize them to board.
In this sense, Aeroméxico has already started notifying its passengers and has indicated that the US government will request a form in addition to the test to confirm the validity of the test provided.
Therefore, the airline has indicated that it has implemented a flexibility policy in case users have to change their flight due to the new requirement.
