The fans of the national champions of the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic, Águilas Cibaeñas, left their homes to celebrate the triumph of the team they sympathize with, violating the curfew program.
This was verified by videos obtained through this medium, where several citizens can be seen on the streets of provinces such as Santiago, Pimentel and Espaillat, some without using any face mask.
The current curfew program starts at 17:00, ends at 5:00, with free transit until 20:00, according to presidential decree number 7-21. This is Monday to Friday.
Saturday and Sunday start at noon and end at 5 am the next day, allowing free movement until three in the afternoon.
Las Águilas defeated Gigantes del Cibao on Monday, 7 scores to 4, making the 22nd crown in the Dominican winter ball, reaching the record for local titles.
Santiagueros were guided by home runs by Johan Camargo, Juan Lagares and Luis Juárez, plus a timely double by Jonathan Villar to secure the victory.
