Sierra Vista Clinic discontinues COVID vaccinations in Fresno as a precaution

FRESNO, California (KFSN) – The Sierra Vista Clinic has announced that it is discontinuing all COVID vaccinations, including at its location in Fresno, after up to 10 people in California had allergic reactions to a particular batch of Moderna vaccine.

California health officials have called for a temporary halt to the distribution of that lot, Lot # 041L20A. The clinic said it received 1,100 doses from that batch, but all those who received a vaccination from the Sierra Clinic today did not receive a dose from the transport in question.

In fact, the vaccines in the transport in question were not sent at all to the Fresno location on Elm. Vaccinations are simply stopped out of an abundance of precautions, according to the Sierra Vista Clinic.

The clinic, which had vaccinations scheduled for people 65 and older in Fresno and Kern counties since Monday, January 18, announced a few hours in the afternoon that it would not administer the doses until further notice.
