DNCD occupies six kilograms of marijuana in AILA

The National Drug Enforcement Administration (DNCD) confiscated six kilograms of marijuana at Puerto Rico International Airport.

In one of the depots of the terminal, a canine unit detected in a cardboard box, a dry ice cooler inside which were found five packages of vegetables weighing over six kilograms.

The substance was sent by a man with an address in an apartment building and was allegedly received by a woman living in the eastern part of the capital.

The operation in which the illicit substance was confiscated was carried out together with the Specialized Airport Security Corps (Cesac) and under the coordination of the Public Ministry, which initiated an investigation into the case.

Authorities have doubled their ban on drug trafficking, money laundering and other crimes at airports, ports, borders and across the country.
