Authorities in Washington, DC are asking the public for help in finding the suspect accused of crushing a police officer against a door in the violent riot at the Capitol last week.
The Metropolitan Police Department tweeted new photos Friday evening photos of the shaggy suspect with glasses.
Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges can be seen in photos and videos on social media bleeding from his mouth as he was crushed in a doorway in the Capitol.
Hodges recalled his attacker hitting him and “foamed at the mouth.”
“There is a man who takes off my mask, he was able to rip the baton and hit me with it,” the officer recalled to CNN. “He practically foamed at the mouth, so these people were true believers in the worst way.”
Another officer managed to save Hodges from the rowdy crowd. DC police said Hodges made a good recovery after the incident.
On Thursday, FBI Director Christopher Wray said more than 200 suspects have been identified as investigators continue to investigate the attack that killed five people, including a Capitol police officer.
