The rules of engagement change for the second season of Ronald D. Moore another history space race series: because war comes on the moon. Maybe the pirates of the moon, also?
Apple has just released a new trailer for the second season of For All Mankind, the alternative history SF series that imagine a world where the space race has not ended with the nations of the world putting astronauts into orbit and the moon. Instead, tensions continue to escalate between the United States and Russia as the Cold War boils down, bringing the potential for conflict into NASA’s mission to put humanity in the stars.
What this means for our heroic astronauts is that now, along with the lust for wanting to go out and be at the forefront of the space race, they must fight the increasingly real prospect of conflict on the moon. NASA needs to investigate reports that the USSR has stationed a military outpost on the moon that could be able to launch nuclear missiles at any target on Earth. Which would be bad, naturally!
For All Mankind returns to Apple TV + on February 19.
