The national police reported through a press conference that the investigations into the abduction and murder of Richard Bolívar Santana, who was found dead on a farm in Villa Altagracia, are progressing.
The agency said that several members of an alleged criminal gang involved in the incident had already been arrested and that several firearms of various calibers, vehicles and other effects had been confiscated.
According to police spokesman Colonel Miguel Balbuena Álvarez, the group is dedicated to kidnapping, hitting and killing narcotics and is being investigated for being responsible for keeping an unidentified woman in captivity along with Bolívar Santana, who was killed.
Five people were arrested for the incident: Rafael Ricardo Espinal, Contreras España (Ramón), Daniela de los Santos, Gabriel Elías Lesta Reyes and Armando Soto Hernández, while six others remain at large.
Gabriel Elías stated that he participated in the kidnapping after he was identified by analyzing the videos with the security camera as one of the material actors of the kidnapping.
Armando Soto is the administrator of the farm where the body was found.
While Spain, alias Ramón, according to the police, is in charge of guarding and supervising the Cabrilla 20 farm, located at kilometer 29 of the Duarte motorway.
