Health officials made the announcement today to help speed up vaccine administration.
These types of mass vaccination sites have opened or will soon open in other parts of the state, including Dodger Stadium in Los Angles and Disneyland in Orange County.
It’s all part of the governor’s plan to speed up the vaccination process as soon as possible.
Fresno County joins other parts of the state in an effort to speed up vaccinations.
“I can boldly tell you today that Fresno County is at the forefront of this vaccine launch. We are not facing the kinds of problems you have heard about in every county in the state of California,” said Steve Brandau, Fresno County Supervisor.
As the state handles record deaths COVID-19 – the trade fair center is now open to front-line health workers to receive the shot.

Eligible recipients will enter the parking lot on Kings Canyon Road and go to the Ag building, where vaccines are given Monday through Saturday.
The county said it aims to vaccinate at least 75 percent of its residents by summer.
“This week, if you have medical assistance, come down. Next week, if you are in the elderly population, then you will be eligible and we really want to reserve those slots for that population. Then, a week later, we will start with our food and agri-food workers, “said Dr. Rais Vohra, interim health officer of Fresno County.

Fresno County has a population of just under one million people, with data showing that nearly 76,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began.
The county plans to open more of these super sites soon to help streamline the vaccination process
“By Friday, there will be five locations. Right now, the county is talking to 100 additional providers, and as we go up and receive more vaccines, we’ll be quick to put that in the hands of the public and those people. Who has the most much needed, “said Nathan Magsig, Fresno County Supervisor.
