The young man narrating the audiobook “Una Tierra Prometida” in Spanish, from the memoirs of former President of the United States, Barack Obama, is Dominican and 27 years old.
Víctor Sabi had previously dubbed the autobiography of former African president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela in Spanish, according to an interview with Jessica Hasbun for CNN. For that work he was nominated for the best voice in Spanish.
Discipline, discretion, are two qualities that distinguish this Dominican talent just by listening to him, because in the interview he says that the dubbing of Obama’s car was unknown to his relatives.
In 2019 he took part in an international casting to copy Mandela’s autobiography, “The long road to freedom”, for which he had to learn some African dialects and later narrate the audiobook of Democrat Barack Obama.
“It is a privilege for me that the Spanish community can enjoy this story through me,” said the Dominican.
