The General Prosecutor’s Office has a scale of fines for extinguishing time

Violation of the extinguishing available will now face the payment of fines from $ 1,000 RD to over $ 100,000, according to a scale set yesterday by the General Prosecutor’s Office, which is approved by the Health Act 42-01.

Fines will depend on the type of infringement committed by a particular person or the owner of a business that allows a larger crowd than established.

Now pedestrians who violate the timing will be fined $ 1,000 RD; RD motorcyclists $ 2,000; the driver of a RD 5,000 USD vehicle and the person who is caught in a center or entertainment space will pay RD 2,000 USD.

While bars, restaurants or any other entertainment space, as well as a private party that violates the measures, will be fined US $ 100,000.

The owner or the person in charge of a bus that transports people and violates the measure, will be sanctioned with RD $ 50,000; the driver of a cargo vehicle with $ 30,000 RD and the owner of a cockpit with $ 100,000 RD.

The general instruction signed by Attorney General Miriam Germán Brito indicates that when the accumulation of offenses exceeds US $ 100,000, in no case may the unspecified amount be less than that amount. The provision does not specify the amount a person has to pay for the journey without a mask, but specifies that a breach of this provision would result in a fine.

In his instructions, lawyer Germán Brito points out that the national police officers present, without delay and without error, those who have been arrested for violating the heel and the restrictive measures of overcrowding. ten persons in public and private spaces for common use, imposed in decree 7-21 of 8 of this month or in any other provision issued by the Executive.
