DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) – Vaccines for the new coronavirus have reached just over 85,000 people in Iowa so far, according to new state data released Monday.
According to current data as of Sunday, the Iowa Department of Public Health said 85,382 people had started the series of two-dose vaccines. Of these, 5,652 people attended the vaccination course.
The top five counties after total doses administered to residents are Polk (12,656), Johnson (9,411), Linn (6,797), Scott (3,580) and Dubuque (3,073). Linn County has the highest number of people with a full range of vaccines at 1,416, followed by Polk (1,410), Johnson (749) and Dubuque (558) and Scott (422).
