His former TV star “General Hospital” and “Dallas”, John Reilly, has died, his daughter said on Sunday.
Reilly was 84 years old, according to his IMDb profile.
The handsome-skinned actor played a recurring role on the “Dallas” night soap in the early 1980s, before taking a spot on the ABC day series “General Hospital,” as retired spy Sean Donely.
He was so popular at one point that unrelated star actor John C. Reilly had to add his middle initial to his name to be identified separately, director Judd Apatow once posted on Twitter.
“The brightest light in the world has gone out. Imagine the best person in the world. Now imagine that person is your father, “John Reilly’s daughter Caitlin Reilly wrote on Instagram on Sunday – alongside a photo of her father hugging her like a little girl.
“I’m so grateful it was mine,” she added of John Reilly.
“I am just so grateful that I came to love him. I am so grateful that I arrived in time to hold him and say goodbye. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do, but I know he’ll be with me. I love you forever, Daddy. “
