A new preview of the Xbox update was released this week to give Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Insiders a taste of a convenient feature that looks perfect for multitasking and social gaming. This feature is connected to the Xbox mobile app, which if you don’t already use it, you might be convinced to do so after testing the update that is now available for those in the appropriate Xbox update preview rings.
Microsoft has shared notes for the latest update on the Xbox website to detail how the new “View on Mobile” feature works. It’s a simple feature that will make the app much more convenient when you want to do something on Xbox, but you want to manage something in the app that will be more intuitive for that platform, such as chatting with friends.
“Users will notice a new ‘View on Mobile’ option to complete certain actions in the Guide,” Microsoft explained in the update notes. When selected, a notification will be sent to users’ phones (if they have the Xbox app installed) to complete the action. “
The image below has been distributed to show what this new function will look like in the menu. It’s a small change, but it’s one that better connects the app to the console interface and should allow players to have an easier time starting a process on the console and ending it in the app if the feature is available. Microsoft has not detailed all the scenarios in which this feature can be used, but the most obvious benefits of this should be felt when talking to friends or using other social features of the console.

In addition to this new feature, the Xbox update included several fixes for bugs that players may have encountered. Those fixes implemented in the update can be found below.
