Antonio Sabato Sr. died at the age of 77 from complications of COVID-19 after being tested positive for the virus earlier this month.

The son of the Italian-American actor Antonio Sabato Jr., aged 48, confirmed the news of his father’s death in a message shared on Twitter on January 6.

Antonio was best known for his roles in Escape From The Bronx and Grand Prix, which earned him a 1967 New Star of the Year Golden Globe nomination.

Antonio Sabato Jr., who has been on Twitter constantly to update his fans about his father’s ill health, paid tribute to his father by uploading an old family photo on Twitter on Wednesday.

“Hello Pope,” wrote Sabato Jr., known for his role in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

In a follow-up tweet, the star mentioned that she would like and will miss her father “Always and Forever”, while continuing to mourn the late actor.

A few days before his death, Sabato Jr. asked his Twitter followers to “say a prayer for [his] father while battling COVID-19 in a California intensive care unit.

“My father is in intensive care with covid in California. May the Lord keep him surrounded by angels and the pure love and power of God within, ”he wrote.

On January 5, the actor returned to Twitter to offer the next one another update that highlighted the severity of his father’s condition.

“My father / father fights for his life and he doesn’t do well and we can’t even see him or be with him.”

“Dear Lord, You are the God of the Impossible! There is nothing you can do. I come to You now, desperate for a healing miracle for my father. Thank you, Jesus, with the hand emoji of prayer.

His condition was seemingly gloomy, as the immense prayers did not work while he was fighting for his life.

Sabato Jr. continued to remember his father as he wrote “Number One, Our Great Father Antonio Sabato” The Best, “while sharing a photo of the actor in his heyday.

The young Sabato – who is an avid supporter of Trump – has publicly voiced his views on face masks when it comes to the approaching coronavirus.

The same day he asked for “prayers” for his father, he shared a screenshot that said“Science says that healthy people should not wear masks,” as he listed the reasons against wearing a face.

He went on to share a photo of himself and Trump and wrote, “He is my biggest president and will lead our country and the world technically for the next 4 years!”, Despite the fact that Trump he lost the election.

The actor, who considers himself a member of the Patriot Party, continued to question the suspension by Twitter of Trump’s account, as he said:

“You are evil, Twitter jacka ** es. Please suspend all those who support the greatest president in history @realdonaldtrump and go for a run. Have fun. ‘

He continued rant about the fact that President-elect Joe Biden called him “a fraud and a liar and a shame just like his friends Twitter Facebook Ig,” adding “TRUMP WON BY A LANDSLIDE.”
