Big E reveals the deleted tweets of the Apollo Crews team before signing with WWE

Big E could have kept its Intercontinental title over the Apollo Crews last Friday on SmackDown, but it looks like the beef between the two is far from over.

On Twitter, Big E revealed a screenshot of two deleted Apollo Crews tweets now.

The first reads, “Damn, Big E Langston is short,” with the second saying, “Lmao! Big E came on TV and my sister and mom said what is this?!?!”

Both tweets are from the beginning of 2013, not long after the main call of the Big E list. At that time, the future member of New Day was paired with Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee, serving as the muscles of the Show-Off. . The two will continue to challenge Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) to WrestleMania 29 for WWE Tag Team titles, but eventually fell short. The second of Apollo’s two deleted tweets came about a week later WrestleMania Match.

Crews’ last jabs at Big E came just a year before he was signed to WWE in 2014. Crews made his television debut on the first Taking over NXT event outside Full Sail University, NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Although he had limited success on the main list, Crews was short-time singles champion last year, reigning as US champion before losing the title to Bobby Lashley in late 2020.

Since then, Crews has retired to SmackDown, where he most recently unsuccessfully challenged Big E for his title in the middle of the book. While he came short in his first attempt, if these tweets are something to disappear from, it is very possible that an extended fight between Crews and E will be on the horizon.
