The Angels- It was seconds, but the scene became a symbol of the violent uprising in the Capitol by supporters of US President Donald Trump. A man disguised as a buffalo, with a horned cap on and without a shirt, temporarily presided over the US Senate, his fist raised, in the midst of the chaos.
This bizarre series was played by Jake Angeli, a member of the Qanon conspiracy theory movement who calls himself ‘Yellowstone Wolf’ on his YouTube channel, in which he claims that there is an alleged network of child pornography and child sex trafficking directed by the Democrats, among others.
His presence in the Capitol went viral on social networks and caught the attention of thousands of people wondering where this character came from and who was interviewed by Efe in November.
The image became so powerful that various national and international media outlets named Angeli one of the leaders of the occupation of the US Congress.

It starts in Arizona
Angeli, 27, attended Efe in the days following the Nov. 3 presidential election for the voting and counting center in Maricopa County, that state.
“Yellowstone Wolf” described himself as a “chosen one” sent by Qanon, a group formed on Internet forums that the FBI has identified as a potential threat of domestic terrorism.
Rather than talking about violence and smiling from ear to ear, Angeli explained that it is her duty to ‘inform’ the community about the various scandals that the Democratic Party is supposedly hiding, such as human trafficking, interference in the US government , or election fraud against Trump.
If you compare it to Gandhi
Although he had been seen in other rallies in favor of the Republican president, the days of protest before the Maricopa Voting Center were his first major public appearance, drawing the attention of the country’s mainstream media.
In this context, he argued that his intent was “to defend Trump’s votes in Arizona” through “civil disobedience,” as other great historical leaders have done.
“We are faced with the global story that Biden won through civil disobedience, such as Gandhi, Jesus or Martin Luther King,” he said, with his face painted with the American flag.
Rhetoric that works
His live message caught on with Trump supporters in attendance at those Arizona protests, in part because of his high rhetorical skills and a harsh but unique voice.
Thus, he became one of the keynote speakers at every event in Phoenix that week, be it for that polling station, City Hall, or the Capitol.
Those repeated appearances led him to become one of the protagonists of Trump’s “defense of the voices,” at the level of ultra-conservative radio host Alex Jones.
In less than two months, Angeli went from the gardens of the Arizona Capitol to the well-known Capitol esplanade in Washington DC, where she also gave several speeches for the uprising, according to various profiles on social media.
After entering the federal building and reaching the Senate with his companions, “Yellowstone Wolf” temporarily presided over the Senate, starring an image that will go down in history.
