Through Decree 741-20, the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, awarded the award in order of merit to Duarte, Sánchez and Mella for their work as the United States Ambassador to the country, Robin Bernstein.
The decree, which consists of two articles, was read by the legal adviser to the executive, Antoliano Peralta.
“I accept this recognition not only on my behalf, but also on behalf of my entire team, my husband and the administration of President Donald Trump. After Bernstein, President Abinader spoke, thanking the ambassador for her work during this period of health and economic crisis caused by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“You were a fundamental piece in the bilateral relations between the United States and the Dominican Republic. As I told you, you love the Dominican Republic and the Dominican Republic loves you,” said the President of the Republic during his participation. .
