The incident happened around 4 p.m., Dec. 14, in the 18700 John F. Kennedy block, police said.

According to authorities, a person was loading some objects into their vehicle when they were approached by two armed men who asked the victim to get to the ground. The victim refused, so one of the thieves hit the person in the head with an AR-style pistol, police said.

Police said the victim then tried to flee, but the second suspect caught her and attacked her on the ground and stole the victim’s wallet and money before fleeing the scene in a white Dodge Challenger. and a gray Toyota Camry.
