Lisa Bloom intends to represent Alexander Wang’s accusers

Lisa Bloom will represent the alleged victims of the fashion designer Alexander Wang, Page Six reports, and the famous civil rights lawyer confirmed on Monday in a post on Instagram. This comes after Bloom launched calls on social networks offering to investigate allegations that Wang groped and sexually assaulted anonymous men and trans women who shared their stories on Instagram accounts @ShitModelMgmt and @DietPrada.

“I’m gathering information right now,” Bloom told The Daily Beast, adding that she heard “credible” accounts from “at least three” men, but plans to talk to more people during the week. “I was honestly bombarded by people,” Bloom added. She did not comment on the nature of the allegations.

Wang flatly denied the allegations, calling the stories “unfounded and grotesquely false” in a statement sent to The Daily Beast last week. Daily mail published an email that Wang sent to his staff, who called the allegations “untrue. [and] fueled by opportunistic motives. The designer also posted on Instagram: “My team is doing everything they can to investigate these allegations and I promise to remain honest and transparent throughout the process.”

Bloom said he expects Wang’s denial. “I think it’s unfortunate when you walk out the gate telling liars, especially when there are a number of people making similar accusations,” Bloom added. “I will also say that I think his very aggressive refusal to call people ‘liars’ tends to take other people out to support the first accusers.”

Bloom represented the women who accused Bill Cosby, Bill O’Reilly and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual harassment and abuse and also served as legal counsel for Harvey Weinstein in 2017.
