Akshay Kumar on Sunday unveiled the trailer for a multiplayer game called FAU-G: Fearless and United Guards, which will support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat movement. The game aims to offer an Indian alternative to PUBG Mobile, which has been banned in India, along with 117 other applications.
Taking to Twitter to announce the FAU-G anthem, Akshay Kumar wrote: “Whether it is a problem in the country or at the border … these Bharat Ke Veer are always standing. They are our Fearless And United Guards, FAU-G! Witness the hymn. “The game will be released on January 26, 2021, marking the 72nd Day of the Republic of India.
The new PUBG alternative was announced by the developer nCore Games and will be developed under the guidance of Kumar. The game is expected to be based on real-world scenarios encountered by Indian security forces to deal with both internal and external threats and will be available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The government banned the PUBG multiplayer action game on September 2 and it was removed from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store in India, according to the Indian government directive. PUBG was banned on an order by the Ministry of Information and Technology (MeitY), which also banned 117 other popular applications in China for reasons of national security.
But it seems that some Indians are not yet ready to receive FAU-G because they still cannot get over PUBG fever. They started sharing PUBG memes on the day the FAU-G anthem was released online. Take a look.
